We've all been to a wedding where you don't feel like anyone knows what is going on, the best man (and his 5th pint) is struggling to move guests through for dinner and the couples introductions are a bit flat.

 

That is why I do what I do!

 

If you're on my website you're either in the thick of planning and perhaps a bit stressed or you're about to enter the whirlwind that is planning your own wedding. Either way, you need a wedding host, my experience, organisation and performance mean that your planning all comes together and you can sit back and enjoy your wedding day with your friends and family

MY DIFFERENCE

There are lots of different types of host out there, event hosts, DJ's that host, magicians that host, hosting agencies, wedding planners, wedding coordinators and plenty more and all of them have their place. I am a host, that's it. I'm not focusing on anything else apart from making your day the very best it can be. I work cohesively alongside all of your other suppliers to ensure that your day runs smoothly but I also put a lot of time into preparing each wedding that I host, taking time to listen to my clients wants and needs and making sure it is the perfect balance of professional, fun, flexible and personal, culminating in a unforgettable experience. Some people refer to me as a 'toastmaster', but that's not me. A toastmaster is overly formal, doesn't play games or take time to get to know you as a couple. With them often being 'part of the package' at you venue, you won't even be assigned your toast master until approx 6 weeks prior to your wedding.

I once had a guest at a wedding ask me how I knew the wedding couple. I replied 'I don't, I just take the time to get to know them and their wedding plans'. This for me was the biggest compliment, for someone to think that I must have previously known the couple!

Ceremony 

  • Welcome guests and explain any  seating arrangements

  • Explain any confetti shots after the ceremony 

  • Explain any other client requests (unplugged ceremony etc)

Drinks Reception 

  • Confetti shot organisation and call

  • Assisting photographer to find/ call people for group shots

  • Ensuring couple always have a drink and their own plate of canapés

  • Run any games requested 

  • Wedding breakfast room look with couple/ fixing any issues 

  • Dinner call

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Having me as your wedding host is the perfect way to create a brilliant atmosphere on your big day. It is a very flexible option and I'd love the opportunity to discuss your wedding day on a call. However I have put below some answers to some frequently asked questions that may help in your wedding planning.

Can you look after music at key points of the day?

Of course, when we catch up before your wedding we'll go through introductions of you as the couple and any other intros you'd like to do and pick songs that will fit the mood and vibe for that time of the wedding day

What about speakers and microphones?

For the wedding breakfast I'll have a microphone and speakers set up for my hosting and any musical introductions. If you'd like to use the speakers for a playlist or microphones for speeches we can discuss this on a call

How do you know what to say about different people?

We're going to be talking a lot about your wedding day via email, on calls and in person. I really take the time to get to know you both as a couple and also to get some 'ammo' on the best man and any funny stories about the wedding party etc. This attention to detail makes each wedding I host unique and very personal.

Our venue has a wedding coordinator, can you still host our wedding?

YES!! Whilst venues often have coordinators for weddings they are not hosts and will only manage things behind the scenes. Similar to a wedding planner. Often both coordinators and planners love it when we're working together and always makes a bit of a dream team!
